The injury management advisor will often help the employer with decisions about rehabilitation providers, doctor communication and the rehabilitation aspects of injury management.

Other key functions include:

• Monitoring injured workers' overall progress,
• identifying strategies to achieve rehabilitation goals sooner
• Assisting Rehabilitation Coordinators with development of the RTW plan
• Auditing Rehabilitation & Claims files with regards to legislative compliance
• Attending rehabilitation meetings where disputes occur
• Providing mentoring / support for the business
• Attending insurance claim review meetings regarding rehabilitation strategies
• Approving / monitoring costs of: physical, rehabilitation and medical treatment plans/practitioners
• Monitoring & challenging treatment practitioners when over-servicing occurs
